About the Author

Sean Palmer has been teaching drums, guitar, ukulele, keyboard, and music production for over 20 years, working in primary schools, secondary schools, and special educational needs (SEN) schools. He specializes in teaching students with Tourette’s Syndrome, Autism, ADHD, social-emotional and behavioral difficulties, mental health challenges, and those in therapeutic care homes. In addition, Sean has taught at some of the top music schools in the UK.

Beyond teaching and authoring music tuition books, Sean is also an active musician. He plays guitar in a rock band and is signed to multiple record labels, with his music featured in TV and film.

Sean began writing music tuition books after noticing a major gap in the resources available for beginners. Many existing books were written by musicians rather than music tutors, often expecting too much from students right from the start. Sean's books take a different approach—designed with the student in mind, presenting lessons in bite-sized, easy-to-follow sections. His goal is to prevent frustration and encourage enjoyment, helping students progress gradually and stay motivated.

Each book is structured just like Sean’s real-life lessons, ensuring an engaging, structured, and supportive learning experience for every student.
